Iceberg is an Integrated Packaging Environment (IPE) that allows you to create packages or metapackages conforming to the Mac OS X specifications.
With Iceberg, you can quickly create your installation packages using a graphic user interface similar to your favorite development tools.
Iceberg can also be useful for Administrators who want to gather in a metapackage numerous packages for remote distribution via Apple Remote Desktop.
When I purchased my MacBook Pro in 2009, the version of OS X it shipped with was 10.5 Leopard. I updated to 10.6 Snow Leopard, and finally to 10.8 Mountain Lion. I did a clean install of Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro, but the iLife application suite that came standard with 10.5 Leopard has since been moved to the Apple App Store as individual.
- For Macs running OS X 10.6.8 through 10.7.5 on a 64-bit Intel™ (Core 2 or better) processor, download Pacifist 3.2.17 in zip or disk image format. For Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.11 through 10.6.7, or Macs running OS X 10.6.8 on a 32-bit processor, download Pacifist 3.0.10 in zip or disk image format.
- Download iTunes 12.8.3 for Mac. This update resolves an issue that may prevent iTunes from playing media to third-party AirPlay speakers. It also includes minor app and performance improvements. 10.11 and 10.12 users download iTunes 12.8.2 here. 10.10.5 users download iTunes 12.8.1 here.

Devices and Mac OS X version
VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. It runs on any Mac with a 64-bit Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip. Previous devices are supported by older releases.
Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Please use version 2.0.10 linked below.
If you need help in finding the correct package matching your Mac's processor architecture, please see this official support document by Apple. You can also choose to install a Universal Binary.
Web browser plugin for Mac OS X
Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. It will not receive any further updates.
Older versions of Mac OS X and VLC media player
We provide older releases for users who wish to deploy our software on legacy releases of Mac OS X. You can find recommendations for the respective operating system version below. Note that support ended for all releases listed below and hence they won't receive any further updates.
